[Error: unknown template qotd] My earliest memory is actually when I was about six months old. I was sitting on our kitchen counter and my mom had guests over, so she was giving them coffee. I thought I should help her pour it, but I ended up putting my hand on the hot plate and burning it. I remember a lot of crying on my end. This is so clear for a long time I thought it happened when I was six years old as opposed to six months.
Writer's Block: Remembering mom

During last year's Madrigal Dinner, our choir's Christmas dinner theatre production, my mom would stay up for me and make my favorite dinner, which is soup and sandwiches and make sure I took my vitamins. I wouldn't get home until 11 o'clock, so that was a big deal. She'd help me get ready for bed because they'd keep us until eleven and we still had to go the school the next day, so it was really intense and I was so stressed and she just helped me so much. The first night she did that, "My mom is amazing!" went through my head. And she is, even if she's really stressed out a lot.
